Planned Giving

Helen M. Thompson was the first executive director of the League of American Orchestras (then the American Symphony Orchestra League) and the most passionate advocate American orchestras have ever known. After her death in 1974, her own generous bequest to the League established an annual award that continues to recognize the achievements of young orchestra professionals, to whom she was devoted throughout her career.

The League invites you to become a member of the Helen M. Thompson Heritage Society and help preserve Helen's legacy of service to America's orchestras by remembering the League through a planned gift.
