The National Conducting Institute, in partnership with the National Symphony Orchestra, provides a unique professional development opportunity for some of our most skilled conductors. Working closely with program director Leonard Slatkin, this week-long intensive combines music-making with essential ‘off-podium’ learning, touching on all aspects of orchestral management to instill a greater understanding of the multi-faceted organizational structure of the modern symphony orchestra.
