2005 Management Fellows
Edgar Herrera-Arizmendi comes to the Fellowship program from México, where he studied at the National School of Music. He also holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Piano Performance from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Master's degree in Business and Arts Administration from the University of Cincinnati. Edgar has been the producer of numerous concerts, recitals, recordings and residencies in México, USA and Taiwan. Most recently he has worked as the coordinator of cultural programs at the University of Cincinnati.
Mr. Herrerra-Arizmendi is now Director of Marketing, Syracuse Symphony.
Kevin Shuck, a native of Oklahoma, holds a Ph.D. in molecular biology from Northwestern University and studied at the Technical University of Berlin. Additionally, he is an experienced performer on horn, trumpet and piano. Dr. Shuck has worked in operations at the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and in production at the Ravinia Festival's Steans Institute for Young Artists. In Chicago he also built a community band program into one of the largest of its kind. Mr. Shuck is now Director of Marketing and Development for the Berkeley Symphony.
Jeff Tsai, a Chicago area native, earned his bachelor's degree from Taylor University in Music Business with concentrations in marketing and management accompanied by a minor in Computer Science. An active trumpet player in numerous University ensembles, he also acted as President of the University Band, and President/Founder of the Asian Awareness Association. He served as a student board representative and executive assistant with the Marion Philharmonic Orchestra and has held marketing and public relations internship positions with the Ravinia Festival and Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
Mr. Tsai is currently Director of Corporate Support and Special Projects at the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
