What does it mean to innovate? How can we create an effective team and build momentum for new ideas? How can we develop new revenue from innovation? The New Strategies Lab is a nine-month innovation "incubator" for orchestras, designed and managed by EmcArts. At the Innovations Expo at the 2007 Conference, this interactive session focused on how participating orchestras are approaching these questions, and how you might generate significant innovation at your orchestra. The presenters briefly introduced three projects and moderated a conversation on the challenge of bringing orchestras’ innovations "to market" and the collective lessons learned through the Lab, as well as the recently released RFP for round 3 of the Lab.
