American conducting fellows

Launched in 2005, this program is designed to identify and develop talented emerging conductors through immersive, multi-year residencies with symphony orchestras.  While centered on artistic growth, the American Conducting Fellows Programs is unique in also focusing on the role of the conductor as an organizational and civic leader.

The American Conducting Fellows Program is made possible by major grants from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, The Bruno Walter Memorial Foundation, the Argosy Foundation, and by the support of host orchestras.
