As part of the electronic media consulting services provided to the League and its members, Michael Bronson and Joe Kluger will be tracking and reporting on symphony orchestra electronic media activities, in order to keep the League and all of its members informed of the latest developments and best practices.
A report has been prepared, which reflects the results of the first annual survey of orchestral electronic media activity, which took place during the 2006-07 season. The information in the report is being shared with those participating in the data gathering project and other interested industry observers. The League hopes that the analysis of the information, and the consultants’ resulting conclusions, will help each orchestra to develop individualized goals and objectives for the strategic use of electronic media to further that orchestra’s mission. The League also hopes that, as a result, future reports will show a measurable increase in the scope and volume of such electronic media activity for each orchestra and of the number of people who are inspired by experiencing their music.
