Q: How do I register?
A: Please visit www.performingartsconvention.org. Click on the green “Take Action and Register” button. Before beginning a registration form, every registrant must make an individual log-in and password by clicking on “create an account.” After you have logged in, you will select the “Convention Registration Form” or the “Exhibitor Registration Form” and begin.
This year there are two parts to Registration because your payment is split between a fee to the National Performing Arts Convention and one to the League. When pick a flat rate registration fee for NPAC that ranges from $300 to a single delegate to $225, per delegate, if there are 8 or more in your party. Once that registration has been logged, you will see a page listing Additional NSO Packages (National Service Organizations, like the League). Click on League of American Orchestras and there you will find the League’s Conference package.
Q: I want to bring several people from my organization, how do I register my group?
A: Each person must log-in separately & fill out an individual Convention Registration Form. Please select the appropriate group rate for each person that applies to the total number of people your organization will send. If the number of registrants from your group increases later, please email

to learn about the possibility to receive a lower registration rate.
Q: I’m an exhibitor and want to bring additional people from my company. How do they register?
A: The primary attendee should fill out the “Exhibitor Registration Form”, and pay for the booth as well. For additional people who will be staffing the booth, please fill out a separate “Convention Registration Form” for each person.
Q: What is “Early Bird Registration”?
A: The NPAC Early Bird Registration period ends on April 1, after which the rate will increase to $350 (an increase of $50). There will be a second NPAC increase of $50 on June 1, making the basic rate $400. This increase is fixed and NPAC’s prices will increase on the published dates. So, please register before March 31!
However, because this is much earlier than our usual registration deadline, the League has chosen Monday, April 21 as its early registration deadline – a full three weeks later. At that time, League Conference rates will also go up $50 per person.
Please click here to see a full breakdown of registration rates.
Q: I checked out without printing a copy of my registration. How can I get one?

Q: Can I register for more than one Orchestra Leadership Academy or Pre-Conference seminar?
A: The curriculum for these seminars is designed to be experienced in full, so you may only go to one seminar during each time slot. However, you can attend one National Arts Strategies pre-conference session on Tuesday, June 9, and one Orchestra Leadership Academy seminar on Wednesday, June 10, if you wish.
Q: How do I purchase tickets to other concerts and performances?
A: The League is selling only the tickets listed on the registration form. Please contact the appropriate box office directly to purchase tickets to other performances. Information on performances in Denver can be found at http://www.performingartsconvention.org/performances.cfm.
Q: Can I add additional events onsite?
A: You may add League events (such as the Conference luncheon) at onsite registration. NPAC events and concert tickets will be addressed on a case by case basis both onsite and prior to the convention.
Q: Where do I find hotel information?
A: Please see the “Planning Your Visit” tab on the NPAC website. Each NSO has headquarters hotels. If you are “unaffiliated” with any NSO, you can see the National Performing Arts Convention hotel options.
Q: When I went to submit my credit card information it said my information could be seen by other people if I continued. Is my credit card secure?
A: When you leave a Web site, you sometimes get a message that you are leaving the site and information may be viewed by others. This happens BEFORE credit card info is entered while you are going to the Paypal site (which is secure). This message comes up BEFORE credit card information is entered, and does not affect user security. The Paypal site is encrypted and secure.
Q: We would like to pay for our registration by check – can we do that?
A: Yes, please fill out a form in the system. When you get to the final step “Review & Submit”, please print out this page and submit it with your check. Please make your check payable to the National Performing Arts Convention. Please mail your check and all registrations from your organization to:

Q: Can I pay for more than one attendee on the same check?
A: Yes, use the process outlined above to pay by check. Please send a copy of each registration with the check.
Q: Can I pay for more than one attendee on the same credit card? In the same transaction?
A: No. Each attendee must be entered into the system separately, and therefore paid for separately. You may use the same credit card to pay for each.
Q: I see an area for a Discount Code – what is that, and should I have one?
A: These are codes that are issued to speakers, sponsors or others receiving complimentary registration. If you feel you should be receiving a code, please contact the League.
Q: Can I just register for the League Conference without registering for NPAC?
A: This year the League Conference is part of NPAC. You have to register for both in order to attend. Because of this, the League has reduced its fees so that the amount you pay is not more than you would have paid previously. The League will hold its own constituency meetings, annual luncheon, and some other special events, but we will come together with our colleagues in the other art forms for the big General Sessions and for workshops and training.
Q: Is there a one-day registration fee available?
A: No, there is only full registration available for the NPAC meeting.
Q: What are your refund policies?
A: Refund/Cancellation Policy: Registration cancellations and/or requests for a refund received in writing 30 days prior to the convention to the NPAC Convention Manager will be entitled to a refund of the total convention fees paid less a $50 administrative charge. Cancellations received in writing after that time, but prior to June 14, 2008 will be handled by the convention committee on a case by case basis. Refunds will not be made for no-shows, nor for requests made after June 14, 2008. NPAC is not responsible for United States Postal Service mail or electronic mail failures.
Q: Will there be Perspectives and Toolbox sessions like I attended in the past?
A: These have been replaced with over 50 In-Depth Workshops, Breakout Sessions, and Art-Making Workshops in a wide range of fields, taking place on Thursday afternoon, June 12.
Q: What/when are the general sessions, caucuses etc? I'd like to know before I choose items from the various packages.
A: Programming/schedule information can be found at two places on the website – A PDF of the Convention Schedule can be downloaded under the “Schedule” tab. The list of sessions, etc. can be found under the “Programming” tab. Please encourage people to stay thru Saturday afternoon to participate in the America Speaks sessions.
