Creative Aging: The Next Big Opportunity
June 16, 8:00am to 12:30pm
The aging of America promises seismic change in our society. Today Americans live longer than ever before, and live healthier, more productive lives after retirement. By 2030, more than 70 million baby boomers, 28% of Americans, will be 65 or older. How can we help the mature audience return to their musical “unfinished business” – enthusiasm for the classics, long set aside in favor of family and career – while building interest in, and loyalty to, our orchestras well beyond coming to concerts?
