Graham Parker (
bio), winner of the League’s 2009 Helen M. Thompson Award, shares with us the stepping stones of cultivating a highly success career in orchestra management – from beginnings in hotel/restaurant management, a passion for classical music, to combining the experience of both disciplines into the multifaceted position of executive director of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.

Liz Mahler, Assistant Director of Institutional Giving, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra
Liz Mahler ( bio), graduate of the League’s Orchestra Management Fellowship Program, shares her journey from performer to orchestra manager – training to become a professional violinist, injury and refocus, and the experience garnished from internships and the Fellowship program which leads to her current position as assistant director of institutional giving with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.
