What is Volunteer Council?
The Volunteer Council is made up of recognized community leaders who have demonstrated outstanding support for their orchestras and who are committed to the goals of the League of American Orchestras. The Volunteer Council is geographically representative of direct-service volunteer leadership across the United States and Canada. Its work is twofold: to provide leadership to orchestras and their volunteer associations by acting as a training and communication resource from the League to the field and to inform the League of critical volunteer issues.
The Council is committed to the ongoing education of its members to meet the current and future needs of volunteer associations in support of their orchestras.
The purpose of the Volunteer Council is to support the mission of the League of American Orchestras by providing leadership, communication, and a resource link between the League and orchestra volunteers.
