RESEARCH GRANTS FROM THE NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS
Guidelines for the second round of research applications are available online now, with an application deadline of November 6, 2012. The Arts Endowment anticipates awarding up to 25 grants ranging from $10,000 to $30,000. The National Endowment for the Arts awarded a limited number of grants to research projects that investigate the value and impact of the arts in the United States. These grants support projects designed to use existing, high-quality datasets to examine novel and significant research questions about the arts. National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Awards
The President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Institute of Museum and Library Services, will be accepting applications for the 2013 National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Awards this November. With its $10,000 award for each winner, the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program assists organizations, furthers knowledge, and encourages development of future programs.
After-school and out-of-school time arts and humanities programs sponsored by performing arts organizations, museums, libraries, educational institutions, arts centers, community service organizations, businesses, and eligible government entities are encouraged to submit an application. ARTPLACE
Orchestras and other nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply for grant support thanks to the new program, Artplace. Administered by the Nonprofit Finance Fund through funding from the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as a large number of nationally recognized foundations and financial institutions, Artplace grants are awarded to organizations that will improve their communities and local economy via groundbreaking artistic, cultural, and creative work.
